A day after New York City got its first freeze of the season, it may even get a smidge colder come Wednesday morning, dropping about a degree colder to around 30 degrees. That's about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Highs on Wednesday will only get into the mid 40s, with a wind chill that will make it feel even colder. It will remain mostly sunny however, making it a great day for getaway travel.

There should be a noticeable warmup come Thanksgiving, when afternoon temperatures spike to the mid-50s — making for a nice day for the parade, high school football matchups and any other holiday activities.
But don't get used to the relatively warmer weather: it'll be back in the 40s on Friday.
Those looking to go Black Friday shopping may need to be prepared to bring a rain jacket, as showers are possible in the early morning hours. The cold air will stick around through the weekend and last into next week.
