Light Snow to Arrive Wednesday Night

Late Evening Forecast for Tuesday, February 12

Forecasters are watching a new storm system that could bring snow showers later this week as many residents around the tri-state continue to dig out from last weekend's storm.

Meteorologists say the fast-moving storm will develop Wednesday night to the south and west, then slide up the coast.

Most areas will see a coating to an inch, and places near New York City could get 1 to 3 inches. Long Island could get as much as 3 to 5 inches.

The track remains uncertain, however, and the snow total amounts could end up being even less.

Temperatures are expected to drop by the weekend and a coastal storm may be on the way Saturday night into Sunday.

Here are your forecasts through the week:

    WEDNESDAY: Light night snow.
    HIGH: 41

THURSDAY: AM snow possible at coast, then mostly cloudy and breezy.

SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy, chance of snow at night.
