LIRR Trains Running Again After Vehicle on Tracks Causes Suspensions

Service has resumed on the Long Island Railroad's Ronkonkoma branch after an unauthorized vehicle on the tracks forced officials to temporarily suspend service.

Service between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale was suspended at about 6:15 a.m., officials say. But service resumed at about 6:45 a.m. after the vehicle was cleared from the track.

Some residual delays should be expected.
