Williamsburg's 184 Kent Goes Hunting for Retail

Our sibling Curbed has long been obsessed with 184 Kent, the historic Williamsburg waterfront building that starred in one of the neighborhood's biggest landmarking fights back in the heady days of the mid-oughts. But now the development is moving into Racked territory, promoting its 17,850 square feet of retail space (plus an 8,641-square-foot mezzanine.) We're fully anticipating some baseless Apple Store rumors, but what else might make sense? A big box store could work, but first-stop, history-conscious renters might not stand to live above something so plebeian. Maybe a supermarket?
