Spot Check: Hermès Sale's Last Hurrah

All is surprisingly quiet on West 18th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues, where the drizzle has driven away any last-minute bargain hunters at the Hermès sale. For once, there was no line, and so we stopped back in to see how well they've fared over the week.

Since the sale ends at 6pm today, you can expect that all the cute shoes and most intricately-patterned scarves are long gone. If you just in the market for anything Hermès however, you are very much in luck; there is plenty left of the $1,000 canvas totes, $600 plain skirts, and the mascots of the sale- the saddles.

So did we score a little something? Yes, against all odds we found something worthwhile to purchase: shimmering body powder in a luxe case for $15, which is an ideal holiday gift for some hard-to-buy-for friends.
