RackedWire: Debating What New Yorkers Do Best in the East Village; The Davos of Make-Up in Chelsea

EAST VILLAGE—Is shopping what New Yorkers do best? The Shop for Public Schools event has put up ads appealing to our consumer pride, but their timing might be a bit off. [EV Grieve]

CHELSEA—As Bob Dylan once asked, how many make-up seminars would a make-up festival need to hold before you could call it a makeupstravaganza? The answer, dear friends, is 70, and the event is the Artist Summit, taking place this Sunday and Monday at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea. Tickets are $125 for a day, $245 for both days (unless you buy them at the door, in which case they're $145 and $290.) Both professionals and civilians are welcome, provided that you have the stamina to attend 70 seminars on self-beautification. [Racked Inbox]For more stories from Racked, go to racked.com.
