Own It: 3 Memorial Day Sales We Like

...plus IKEA unveils the new PS line, and Hermès gets a Hamptons pop-up

BIG DEALS: There are too many Memorial Day sales going on today to count, so allow us to call out three favorites: score savings of up to 80% off at Kmart -- and we suggest you stock up on summery textiles for bed and bath from Martha Stewart. Over at Macy's, where you can save up to 50% storewide, it's the kitchenware we'll be beelining for. Finally, if you need a new mattress, you know how expensive they can be. Sleepy's is holding a massive half-off event, so you can pick up that Sealy's or Serta you've had your eye on.

POP-UP ALERT: Hermès is gracing East Hampton with a temporary boutique this summer, presumably reasoning that if you can still afford your Hamptons getaway, you have saddle-leather money. The outpost will sell the company's trademark pieces, such as the various bags named after style icons (Kelly, Birkin), plus its scarves and neckties, and there'll even be an equestrian section. More info here.

PS, I LOVE YOU: IKEA's designy PS line keeps on redefining and expanding the area where style and affordability overlap. At the recent International Contemporary Furniture Fair, the company unveiled its new PS pieces: Playful, elegant, modern goodies we can't wait to check out in person (though we will have to wait a little bit: The stuff hits stores in August). But you can head here for a preview.
