Breast Cancer Awareness Month: The Many, Many Ways You Can Help

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which means that any company doing business with anyone with breasts probably has some promotional fundraiser in the works. We thought we'd do you a favor and round them up for you, though if the number of things to buy gets overwhelming, you can always just go straight to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (the BCRF) and donate there. By the way, we know the list below is incomplete, so feel free to add other fundraisers in the comments.

The wearable options: Fair trade jewelry site The Pangea Collection will donate $10 to breast cancer research for every heart bracelet sold. For every sale of the Mackage HOPE coat, $695 at Saks, the BCRF gets $100. Buy a $20 pink geometric cuff at Rimistyle, and all $20 will go to breast cancer research. 20% of all pink topaz and diamond jewelry at SuperJeweler will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. Six celebrities designed Shopbop t-shirts; 50% of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. eDressMe will donate 20% of sales from certain designs by the likes of Tracy Reese to the Susan G. Komen foundation. Oakley will donate $20 to the Young Survival Coalition for each pair of $140 breast cancer awareness sunglasses sold. And PRVCY jeans donates 10% of all sales to research, apparently all year round.

The beauty options: Proceeds from its special Pink Reflections lipstick and compact will help Estée Lauder donate $500,000 to the BCRF (no word on whether they'll donate less if sales are dim.) Clinique is giving $10 to the BRCF for every bottle of Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion sold. Members of the Total Beauty Blog Community will offer free giveaways every day this month to raise awareness. And members of the Beauty Blog Network will donate a certain amount to cancer charities (how much and which ones depends on the blog) for every comment left, so you can participate even if you're broke.

The other options: Shape Magazine organized Pilates for Pink, in which gyms across the country donate 100% of their fees for pilates classes to the BCRF. Kidrobot is donating $1 to the American Cancer society every time someone buys a sort of scary, faceless pink toy called a Mini Munny. Lastly, the GaltoGal Network lets you sponsor a virtual walker who will virtually walk across the country in a virtual walkathon. For more stories from Racked, go to racked.com.
