Upper East Side business owners have been complaining about the impact of the construction of the Second Avenue subway, but soon they'll fondly look back on the days when they only had one huge infrastructure project to worry about. Con Ed is now digging up First Avenue from 75th to 96th Streets to install transmission cables, a job that will last until 2010. Yikes! [NYP]
