Starrett City Follies with a Dose of '70s Optimism

Last night, Starrett City tenants "interviewed" the four finalists vying to purchase the complex under guidelines requiring them to maintain affordability. In the meantime, the potential sale price, once hoped to be around $1 billion, seems to be dropping every day and is now said to be in the neighborhood of $700 million. This week. The complex has 5,881 units in 46 brick towers. But the hell with all that, check out the commercial from the 1970s about Starrett City's excellent quality of life and affordability.
