Snoopalooza: Peer Inside These NYC Homes

In this corner, a mod 250-sq.-ft. Carroll Gardens studio; in that corner, a former candle factory near Union Square. May the best apartment win.

Admit it: The reason you accept most party invites is because you're dying to get a look inside somebody's home. (What? It can't be just us.) So it goes without saying that we're addicted to the house tours over at zen-temple-of-living Apartment Therapy (if you haven't dipped a toe in this perfect pocket of the interwebs, it's a feature whereby readers send AT a passel of home snaps, lushly documenting every corner of their living space).

This week, two tours of New York apartments go head to head. On one side, a professional organizer (with two cats!) does incredibly skillful things with her 250-sq.-ft. Carroll Gardens flat; on the other, a couple struggles to de-gaudify a former candle factory near Union Square that had been given a serious Italianate makeover back in the '80s. Gorgeous? Cold? Serious case of the uglies? Is square footage really everything?
