The 80,000 jobs the city might lose over the next two years, destroying life as we know it? Not in Brooklyn. The reason? Growth in the noodle and dumpling manufacturing sector. Well, officially, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is calling it "diverse businesses" and predicting the borough will only lose 6,000 jobs or about 1.4 percent. Also, good news for Lehman Bros. employees: Brooklyn's food and health services will gain 1,500 new jobs--doctor's offices, clinics, cafeterias, restaurants and, yes, bars.
