Sacred Building Buy: One group of landgrabbers that doesn't…

One group of landgrabbers that doesn't stop buying even in times of economic crisis: schools. The Real Deal reports that Sacred Heart paid Verizon $23 million for a three-story building at 406 East 91st Street, six blocks east of its main campus at 91st Street and Fifth Avenue. The school will likely raze the building and build offices, a gym and a pool on the site. Verizon had used the property for a garage and repair center.
