Morning Massacre: Axman Kravitz Gets the Ax

Our daily look at some of the most severe recent PriceChoppers in the run-up to Halloween (and in the wake of market madness) continues with a trip to Soho, and our second brush with fame.

Was: $19,500,000
Now: $18,750,000
You Save!: $750,000!

It's not the biggest slash we've ever seen, but it's the back story that makes this one so bloody. Lenny Kravitz has been trying to unload his duplex penthouse at gorgeous Soho loft building 30 Crosby Street for six years. Not to repeat ourselves, but: 2002: Put on market for $17 million. Spring 2004: Put back on market at PriceChopped $13.25 million. Summer 2004: PriceChopped again, to $12.95 million after deal for place falls through. Spring 2006: Pulled from market while Kravitz "redecorates." Spring 2007: Put back on market for PriceHiked $19.5 million after rumored $1 million renovation. And now, the latest PriceChop. Maybe a little light in the photos would help? Moody orgy palace is so pre-meltdown.
