More New Luxury Bowery Condos, But This One's an Oldie

The 19th Century brick building at 316 Bowery just got new ground-floor tenants, the supertrendy restaurant Double Crown and its cocktail lounge Madame Geneva—both from restaurant design/ownership firm AvroKO (more on them later!)—but the real story is what's going on upstairs. Developer Kaish & Taub is currently restoring and renovating the old hotel at the corner of Bleecker Street, turning the three floors above into 1,700-square-foot full-floor condos. Each unit will have two bedrooms, direct elevator access, 14' ceilings, new six-foot windows, Miele appliances and Bosch fixtures. The penthouse also gets a private 500sqft roof garden. An absolutely gorgeous building getting a new lease on life—we ain't mad at that. Elliman superstar Rob Gross will handle the listings, as he happily told Eater.
