The list of New York institutions, groups and projects seeking federal stimulus funds includes NYU, the Tenement Museum, the East Village's Fourth Arts Block and—be still our beating hearts—the High Line. The Villager reports that Friends of the High Line is seeking $4.25 million to help with some elements of the second phase of the park (from West 20th Street to 30th Street), including an elevator/stairway entrance and a pair of viewing areas.
