CurbedWire: JetBlue T5 Ribbon Cutting & Grenade Scare, Edge Now Making Housecalls

JFK AIRPORT—There was an official ribbon cutting at the hot new Terminal 5, which is JetBlue's new home in Queens that we had a sneak look at before Labor Day. The official opening day also featured the first official scare, as the terminal was evacuated because of a toy grenade. That part wasn't in the news release from the Port Authority, which opted to talk up the $800 million it put into the new 26-gate terminal, which is behind the landmark Eero Saarinen TWA Terminal.
