CurbedWire: Edge Sells Most Expensive Burg Apartment Ever, Price of Truffles Overstated

WILLIAMSBURGThe world is not coming to an end. Repeat, everything is okay. The Edge sent out a release late this afternoon that it's sold one of its "premier duplex penthouse residences" for $5.145 million, which would be the most expensive residential sale ever in Williamsburg and the sixth most expensive sale in Brooklyn. The buyer, who is clearly not fazed by this meltdown twaddle, is combining two penthouse residences "into a stunning 3,969-square-foot apartment featuring six bedrooms and six baths." Two roof decks and two balconies with amazing city views included. The previous Burg record was a $3.8 million combo unit sale at the Aurora on Karl Fischer Row. [CurbedWire Inbox]

TRIBECA—The people at Truffles Tribeca e-mail with some clarifications to yesterday's item about the rising price of Truffles sourced from The Real Deal. The exact prices of the rental units haven't been worked out, but that $6,000/month figure was in reference to two-bedroom units, not 1BRs. And the two buildings are 15 and 11 stories tall. Thankfully, the skybridge stuff is all true. [CurbedWire Inbox]For more stories from Curbed, go to curbed.com.
