BK Alternate Side Parking Experiment Ends: The Great Brooklyn Alternate Side Parking…

The Great Brooklyn Alternate Side Parking Experiment that involved changing regulations in Park Slope, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Gowanus and, finally, Red Hook is finished. New regulations go into effect there on October 13. Each nabe had alternate side parking regs suspended for a time while signs were changed to reduce cleanings to twice a week for 90 minute periods. Most neighborhoods took it in stride, except for Park Slope where there was, shall we say, considerable whining. [CurbedWire Inbox]For more stories from Curbed, go to curbed.com.
