As part of its promotions, NYC & Company -- New York’s marketing and tourism company -- plans to tweet last-minute reservation openings for the hottest restaurants and plans for surprise chef appearances.

“NYC & Company is excited to be able to take advantage of its growing Twitter presence to reach NYC Restaurant Week fans in a new way,” said NYC & Company senior vice president of Interactive Media Angela Tribelli.
NYC Restaurant Week Summer 2009 will run for three weeks instead of two and take place from July 12–31, excluding Saturdays. Prices for the program will remain $24.07 for three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 for three-course prix-fixe dinners.
