We all knew this day would come. According to a tipster, the last Starwich—though we'll admit here were didn't know there were any still standing— on the 75th and Lex has finally shuttered:
"I just had breakfast there on Sunday and then a few hours later...the windows where paper'd up and the sign said...'Thank you for 2 wonderful years'...There was a huge 'garage sale' where all the furniture and cookware was being sold. Fingers crossed they will open up something fantastic in its place."
If you'll recall, the four year-old sandwich chain filed for bankruptcy back in August, citing the rising cost of materials and decline in demand.
