If the Twitter stream (above) of NewYorkology's Amy Langfield is to be believed—and we see little reason that it should not—there's finally action underway at the late lamented 360 space on Red Hook's main drag, Van Brunt Street. Back in July, blogger Lost City broke the news that a new Italian restaurant was slated for the space, apparently to be run by an alum of Smith Street stalwart Patois. Since then, however, details have been scant—and work on the space nonexistent.

Checking in with a special Eater operative in Red Hook this afternoon, though, confirms that work has been underway for about a week, and that, with tables already restored (they'd cleared it out after 360 closed), "The place looks like a restaurant again." Given that we're not expecting an epic renovation here, here's guessing they can get the doors open in about a month's time. Meantime, we await the big reveal on the joint's name.
