NYWFF— The closing party for the NYWFF at Morimoto last night was perhaps one of the major highlights of the entire event. CARROLL GARDENS— Over the weekend Carroll Gardens veteran Chestnut opened an small adjacent bar at 271 Smith St. called...Chestnut Bar. According to team Chestnut the space features a "U-shaped bar, library ladder, reclaimed beveled glass church door, and tall snack tables made of Chestnut wood recycled from the former bar in the neighboring restaurant space." TRIBECA— Robert Di Niro has decided to do something about the lackluster response to Ago: "'We did a tasting for him,'' Jean-Georges admits. 'It was pretty challenging for a Frenchman to cook Italian food for someone like De Niro.' Jean-Georges says the dishes included salads, pastas, pizza and fish.
