NYWFF— The closing party for the NYWFF at Morimoto last night was perhaps one of the major highlights of the entire event. Just take a look at the guest list: Jose Andres, Lee Schrager, Ferran Adria, Masaharu Morimoto, Noel Cruz, Joe Campanale, Cesare Casella, Dana Cowin, Kate Krader, Todd English, Yann de Rochefort, Bobby Flay, Stephanie March, Michael Berl, Nicole Bermensolo, Marisa May, Pichet Ong, Anne Burrell, Akhtar Nawab, Guy Fieri, Seamus Mullen, Jason Denton, Alfred Portale, David Chang, Tom Colicchio, Govind Armstrong, Waldy Malouf, Alice Waters, and Ken Friedman. CARROLL GARDENS— Over the weekend Carroll Gardens veteran Chestnut opened an small adjacent bar at 271 Smith St. called...Chestnut Bar. According to team Chestnut the space features a "U-shaped bar, library ladder, reclaimed beveled glass church door, and tall snack tables made of Chestnut wood recycled from the former bar in the neighboring restaurant space." On Tuesdays and Wednesdays they run a $30 three-course prix fixe menu. [EaterWire]

EL BULLI— The resyline is open for the 2009 season at El Bulli. You aren't getting in, but if you enjoy fruitless endeavors, better start crafting that pleading missive now. [SE]

TRIBECARobert Di Niro has decided to do something about the lackluster response to Ago: "'We did a tasting for him,'' Jean-Georges admits.
