WEST VILLAGE—A well placed tipster reports that the team behind The Smith—remember that's the NYU Zone post Pizzeria Uno's space, not the West Village's intimate and in certain circles beloved Smith's—are in final talks to take over Sheridan Square/Tasca. Whether named as such or otherwise, they want to do a West Side version of The Smith. Turnaround should be pretty quick.
