A new front in the fro-yo wars, which naturally show no sign of slowing down with the cooling weather: Introducing Double Fraiche, coming soon to 110 Third Ave., between 13th and 14th streets. Sure, there's an Oko on 1st Ave. and St. Marks or Yogurt Mania on 14th near 6th Ave., but those are, like, multiple blocks away. Judging by a quickie map, Double Fraiche could potentially have a lock on an otherwise un-yogurted area of at least two square blocks. A wily move from the newcomer! [EV Grieve]
