Area Blog Shows Off Manhattan Deli Sandwiches

Focuses on SoHo and Nolita Delis

Sandwich lovers have their dream blog.

With a focus on SoHo and Nolita delis, the photoblogger at Scanwiches.com posts a cross-section of photographs, taken via scanner, of mouth-watering sandwiches filled up with everything from tuna salad to Vietnamese meatballs.

The Parisi Bakery located on Mott St. between Kenmare and Spring makes a decent showing with all sorts of pastrami and pepperoni sandwiches. D&D Deli & Grocery has a handful of sandwiches featured on the blog as well, with common deli fare like chicken salad, a garlic bagel and a fresh, dark meat turkey sandwich. Another commonly featured sandwich shop is Banh Mi So 1, a Veitnamese sandwich joint with fare ranging from their grilled pork special to their vegan chicken and lemongrass sandwich.

We do recommend you check it out for an inside peek at area eats but be forewarned - do not view on an empty stomach. Dangerous cravings could result.
