Whole Foods' DIY: Home Brewing class gives you the lowdown on making your own beer.

BREW HA HA: Let's face it, the way things are going, pretty soon you won't be able to afford a six-pack. So why not plan for the worst and learn to brew your own at the Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room on Houston? 6:30-8:30PM.

DO THE HUSTLE: As part of its BAMcinematek spotlight on Paul Newman, the Repertory serves up the actor in his career-defining role as Fast Eddie in The Hustler -- which, for the record, is way better than the sequake (sequel + remake) The Color of Money, largely on account of there being no Tom Cruise in it. 6PM, 9PM.

YID VICIOUS: Roger Bennett and Josh Kun's cheeky new book And You Shall Know Us By The Trail Of Our Vinyl -- which traces Jewish history through records from their collections -- is feted tonight at Joe's Pub, with comedy and music a go-go (including a band that TONY calls "the Jewish Buena Vista Social Club"). 9:30PM.
