Of course, FHM has ranked the "100 sexiest women in the world" in 2009 (because that’s what they do over there). Once we got past close-ups of Heidi Montag’s bikini-clad posterior (snooze), Brittany Spears (um) and Marisa Miller (who?), we were able to start parsing the data into meaningful segments: percentage of women on the list who are on the Vicky’s Secret payroll (about 18%), supermodels (29%), women whose “assets” are called out by the FHM editors as notable (57%), chicks with tattoos (37% -- and we know this only 'cause there’s a website that counts them).
But if you want to feel some hometown pride, click through the list just for the women repping NYC. Whether they’re from here originally or have claimed Gotham as their home, they are with few exceptions a cut above the rest. Some highlights:
