The World (Okay, West Village) According to Jesse and Joe

Style therapists Joe Lupo and Jesse Garza started their luxury lifestyle consultancy Visual Therapy in 1995, when Joe left his banking job to feed his fashion yen and start the company in New York with Jesse. Jesse, who had apprenticed at Chicago's Ultimo and gone on to a ten-year tenure as a creative director, made the leap based on a sincere faith in the transformative power of clothing. (No, really.)

The duo appear regularly on the Oprah Winfrey Show, offering makeover tips for the the daytime diva's fans, transforming the hapless and hopeless. Their new book, Life is Color (Chronicle Books) will be out in December (the perfect gift for your colorblind husband). Joe and Jesse live and work in New York, and here apply their eye for style to point out some of their favorite places in the City for us.

60 Thompson: "The rooftop has incredible downtown views and a chic, sexy vibe. What more can you ask for to accompany your cocktail?"

: "A favorite warm, friendly neighborhood restaurant with great energy, consistently excellent food and a fun crowd."
