Red Star, The Mark Bar, Habitat and TBD all came together as stops in the four-hour bar crawl, where chefs gave away free samples of their delicious Mac n' Cheese.
After finding only dried-up empty food tins at the first three stops along the route, I got lucky at TBD. I had enough time to get two plates of hot, delicious noodles in my mouth before the crowd built up and the supplies became scarce. I can easily say however it was creamy enough to please a cow, and I'll never eat or buy the boxed version again. Next year, organizers hope more bars will join in on the action and fight for the title of best Mac n' Cheese this side of the East River.
