It's the Age of Aquarius all over again on Broadway, now that "Hair" is back.
The original Broadway production opened in 1968, after an off-Broadway run, and ran for 1,750 performances.
Hair Blows Back to Broadway
At the time, the show was considered daring for its content, tackling the Vietnam War, drug use, and sexuality.
The musical also presented nudity on Broadway.
"Hair" sparked many Top40 hits, including "Age of Aquarius," "Easy to Be Hard," as well as the title song.
Ironically, the show never won a Tony Award because of a dispute with the Theater League.
