Go green on Earth Day, and all year round.

Keep the spirit of Earth Day all through the weekend.  Matt Maggiacomo has some tips to keep you in the green spirit.

    * Start at the Bronx Zoo for the “Run for the Wild” 5K race, benefiting the Wildlife Conservation Society.  Money from the event will help go toward saving gorillas in the Congo.

*Want to do some gardening with a few thousand of your fellow New Yorkers? Citywide Hands on New York Day is set for Saturday.  Volunteers will help clean 75 public parks, gardens and schools that need a little sprucing after a long winter.

*Keep that green streak at the Alife Rivington Club, where the Lower East Side sneaker store is promoting a new exchange program where you can swap your used Alife t-shirt for a 40% discount on a new one.  Old shirts will be recycled – of course.
