During his State of of the Union address Tuesday night, President Joe Biden spoke about the two NYPD officers who were shot and killed by a gunman in Harlem as they responded to a domestic violence call in January.

The visibly distraught mother of Wilbert Mora collected the American flag that was draped over the slain NYPD detective’s casket as she said goodbye one last time.

NYPD Inspector Amir Yakatally of the 32nd precinct spoke powerfully about slain detective Wilbert Mora and paid homage to officer Sumit Sulan, the rookie cop who killed his killer.

“Dear Wilbert, I never got the chance to tell you how special I thought you were.” Wilson Mora, Det. Wilbert Mora’s older brother, said as he began his eulogy.

It will be another day of mourning in New York City, as large crowds are expected to once again wait in bitterly cold temperatures in order to grieve as they did last week, this time for a 27-year-old NYPD detective killed in the line of duty.
