As the pandemic continues, the majority of companies still aren’t bringing workers back to the office. Manhattan’s sea of office buildings are still mostly empty, which has some wondering if the economic engine of the city is forever broken.

Most office buildings in Manhattan remained empty at the start of 2021 with the future of in-person work uncertain. But signs of a slow return hint at what could come next. NBC New York’s Adam Kuperstein reports.

Although it appears the state will give them permission to open back up on May 19, it does not appear most theaters will be able to actually get up and running once again until the fall, with social distancing not much of an option for the theaters. NBC New York’s Adam Kuperstein reports.
