The former “View” host is feeling “blessed, lucky and happy” to add another family member this winter.

President Biden presented the nation’s highest civilian honor to a list of honorees that includes actor Denzel Washington, gymnast Simone Biles and the late Sen. John McCain.

The White House says President Joe Biden will present the nation’s highest civilian honor to 17 people, including gymnast Simone Biles, actor Denzel Washington and the late Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, with whom Biden served in the Senate.

President Joe Biden honored the late Sen. John McCain during a commencement speech at the Naval Academy, the site of McCain’s 2018 funeral and grave. “He was a man of great principle and capacity. He always lived by a code… We often disagreed but we were close friends.”
