Dozens of people were arrested after allegedly stealing from high-end stores and selling the goods in what New York Attorney General Letitia James and New York City mayor Eric Adams said was a multimillion-dollar theft and crime ring — one that Adams believes may be linked to more serious crimes.

Dozens of people have been arrested, accused of breaking into high-end stores and then selling stolen goods online. Ida Siegal reports.

State and federal authorities announced Thursday that they arrested and charged more than two dozen people for taking part in a multistate shoplifting ring that made off with more than $10 million in stolen goods over the past few years, most of which was over-the-counter medications.
