Get Paid to Be at the 2018 Super Bowl

The Super Bowl is hiring. See the details above. (Published Monday, Dec. 18, 2017)

    What to Know

    • It's not too late to be hired to work at the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis

    • Thanks to Minnesota's low unemployment rate, the security company has not filled all open positions

    • The last day for interviews is Monday Dec. 18

Even though it is too late to become a Super Bowl LII volunteer, you can still find an actual job that will get you inside the stadium on game day.

The game is scheduled to be held on February 4, 2018, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the second Super Bowl in Minneapolis after 1992.

For the past 14 years, S.A.F.E. has provided Super Bowl security services for the NFL by hiring unarmed security guards who perform crowd control, screening and other security related duties.

S.A.F.E. has been conducting interviews for the jobs since September, but they have had a harder time filling the jobs this year because of Minnesota's low unemployment rate.

The job pays $18 per hour for a day shift and $24 per hour for an overnight shift. If hired, employees let the company know the shifts, days and locations they can work.

The NFL has a deadline for conducting detailed background checks for all game day employees, so S.A.F.E. only has a few days left to fill the rest of the available positions. This leads to many applicants being offered a job on the spot.

"It really did go pretty fast," Thomas West said, who was offered a job on Thursday. "I'm not going to say no, it's the Super Bowl. For the most part they kind of work around our schedule, which is another good thing about the job too."

S.A.F.E. requires new hires to undergo 12 hours of training before starting work in January. The two remaining days for interviews are on Saturday, 12/16 from 10a-2p and Monday, 12/18 from 4p-7p. For more information call 651-315-7744 or click here.
