Three Florence-related fatalities have already occurred. In Pender County, North Carolina, a woman with a medical condition called for assistance but first responders were unable to reach her in time due to large trees in the road blocking their route. And in Wilmington, North Carolina, a mother and infant were killed when a tree fell on their house. The father was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with injuries.
