Father Shoots Daughter's Laptop Over “Disrespectful” Facebook Post

“This right here is my .45,” man says and cocks his pistol in viral YouTube vid.

A North Carolina father outraged by his purported teen daughter’s “disrespectful” Facebook post gave her a lesson she’ll never forget – and neither will her laptop.

“That right there is your laptop,” Tommy Jordan is heard saying in a viral YouTube video as the camera focuses on a computer lying on a grassy open field.

“This right here is my .45,” he says and cocks his pistol.

Jordan then fires a total of nine “exploding hollow-point” rounds into the laptop while telling his daughter she’ll have to pay him back for each “dollar-a-piece” bullet. The 15-year-old will have to spend the rest of her teenage years computer-less until she has enough money to buy a replacement, he says.

So, why the harsh punishment?

Jordan’s daughter Hannah had apparently posted a lengthy rant streaming with vulgarities to Facebook, accusing her parents of making her life miserable with too many chores: doing the dishes, taking out the trash, and refilling her parents’ coffee cups.

Her father’s video, titled “Facebook Parenting: For the troubled teen,” has already logged over 1.4 million views on YouTube and has gone viral on Facebook too. Click here to watch (warning: contains expletives).

Jordan writes in the video’s description: “Maybe a few kids can take something away from this…If you’re so disrespectful to your parents and yourself to post this kind of thing on Facebook, you’re deserving of some tough love. Today, my daughter is getting a dose of tough love.”

During the video, he reads aloud a printout of his daughter’s alleged Facebook post, beginning with, “To my parents, I am not your damn slave.”

After listing his daughter’s grievances, Jordan looks directly into the camera with a cigarette in hand.

“Your responsibilities include waking up on time and getting on the bus,” he says. “You don’t have that hard a life – but you’re about to.”

Jordan concludes his 8-minute rant with, “Hope you enjoyed your little fiasco on Facebook, hope it was worth all this.”

The laptop was by that time worthless.
