Bernie Madoff's Boxers Bring $200 at Auction

Bernie Madoff's underwear brought $1,700 in an online auction of the Ponzi thief's belongings.

Items belonging to the disgraced moneyman, now serving a 150-year sentence for running a $65 billion fraud, brought more than $400,000, according to the Miami Herald. The money will go to compensate victims of his investmet scheme.

Shoes, golf clubs and some artwork were also sold in the online auction of items from Madoff's Palm Beach, Fla., mansion.

The 14 pairs of boxers sold for just under $15 apiece, a relative bargain compared to Madoff unmentionables sold last year.

According to the New York Post, a Long Island man paid $1,700 for 11 pairs of monogrammed boxers and 138 pairs of new socks at an auction in Manhattan.
