Radio Host Baring All for Jets

Going blue for Gang Green

No one can say that WFAN radio host Craig Carton doesn't make good on his bets.

And because of that, the radio jock, who co-hosts the "Boomer and Carton" show with former Jets QB Boomer Esiason, is going to have a very cold Friday.

It all started a few weeks ago, before Thanksgiving, when Carton, so sure that the Jets wouldn't make the post-season, said that if Gang Green made the playoffs he would walk over the Brooklyn Bridge in a Speedo.

"I know my Jets, and I knew they would disappoint me -- they always do. Who knew this would be the year the opposite would happen," Carton told NBCNewYork.com.

"I will be wearing Jets green, I'll have a Kerry Rhodes jersey on, and a green Speedo, which will be stuffed, but other than that you'll see my beautiful body," he said.

Who knew indeed.  Even coach Rex Ryan declared the season over after the Jets lost to the Atlanta Falcons on Dec. 20.

But now that Mark Sanchez and company are on the long hard road to the Super Bowl after a unbelievable win over the Bengals, Carton is keeping his word -- again. He made the same statement and ate the same words two years ago when the Giants made their miraculous run for the championship.

"We'll have all the Jets fans in the tri-state area joining us," said Carton, who is looking to get Jet greats like Joe Namath, Joe Klecko and Mark Gastineau to join him, wearing pants of course.

And for a little extra incentive, everyone with him on the bridge -- he plans to start at Cadman Plaza and walk to Manhattan around noon -- will get a raffle ticket to possibly win a big screen Samsung TV.
