Uniondale, NY (Sports Network) - For a second straight game, the Islanders blew a three-goal lead in the third period, but this time Chris Campoli's score in overtime gave New York a 4-3 victory over Columbus.
Campoli scored twice, while Richard Park and Bill Guerin had the other goals for the Islanders, who halted a six-game losing streak.
Mike Comrie and Trent Hunter each had two assists for the Isles, who beat Columbus for just the second time in nine all-time meetings.
The Isles blew a 4-1 third-period lead at home on Saturday before losing, 5-4, to Montreal. This time, with Joey MacDonald in net, the Isles coughed up the advantage, but managed to squeak out the win when essentially Campoli put the puck in the net twice in OT, with the official winner coming at the 3:13 mark.
MacDonald has seen most of the action in the absence of an injured Rick DiPietro, and he made 31 stops Monday night.
R.J. Umberger had two goals and Marc Methot had the other score for the Blue Jackets, who lost for the fifth time in six games. Fredrik Norrena made 25 saves.
In the overtime, Comrie skated with the puck through the left circle, but then had it poked away. Campoli sent a shot from the slot off the back bar of the net. He raised his hands in celebration, but play continued and a few seconds later he got the puck from the slot again and sent the disc between the pads of Norrena. A video replay showed Campoli's first shot went in and not off the right post as originally thought.

Park scored 3:08 into the second period. Hunter took away the puck from behind the net, and the disc was loose in front before Park netted his first goal of the season.
Left wing Fredrik Modin, activated off injured reserve prior to the game, had a golden opportunity to forge a tie, but his backhander missed the open net four minutes into the second.
Guerin doubled the lead after another good play from Park. Guerin was off the ice for tripping, but as the penalty expired he came out of the box, received a long pass off the boards from Park and was sent on a breakaway. Guerin faked to get Norrena on the ice before scoring into the open net at the 10:16 mark.
Campoli made it 3-0 on a shorthanded goal at 14:15 following a scramble in front of the net.
Methot scored 3:44 into the third by getting to a loose puck near the net, and it became a one-goal difference just over a minute later on a power play tally from Umberger. Rick Nash fired the puck from the right circle toward the net. MacDonald made the initial save, but failed to cover. Umberger was credited with the goal, but Isles defenseman Bruno Gervais, who was in the crease, accidentally knocked the puck toward MacDonald's pads before it went over the goal line.
Umberger tied the game at the 11:02 mark by firing in the puck from the right circle.
