Police Investigating an Overdose at Isiah Thomas' House

From the scary/serious department, CBS News reports that police were called to the house of Isiah Thomas late last night on a possible overdose call. CBS has sources claiming Thomas overdosed on sleeping pills. The Knicks claim Thomas is fine, but police won't go any further on details. The Associated Press has confirmed the report police were called to Isiah's home, but only say the 911 call referenced a "46-year-old man." (Thomas is 47.)

Isiah was "reassigned" (read: given a job that apparently entails nothing except staying away from the players) by the Knicks in April after a tumultuous, frightful year in which Thomas served as the general manager and coach. The Knicks went 23-59 last season, tied for fourth-worst in the league. The franchise also suffered monumental embarrassment off the court, as a New York jury found the Knicks liable in a sexual harrassment and hostile workplace case in which Thomas figured heavily.

Also, of course, Thomas is one of the greatest point guards of all-time. He has no reported history of drug abuse.
