Doing Lines: Kevin Durant Continues to Shine

Every night there are some stupendous, silly, stupid, or downright outlandish individual lines from around the lig. Doing Lines lets you know which one tops the list.

Wednesday night's best contest was between league cellar dwellers, the Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder. The game went into overtime with Kevin Durant continuing to show that he is pretty darn good. KD's line for the night: 35 points (on 14-23 shooting), 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The six assists are what really stand out for me, since many complain that he doesn't do a great job of setting up teammates. He's improved in that area over the last five or so games. Expect to see continued growth by Durant in this area. By the way, the Thunder are 7-6 since the start of 2009.

Rasheed is the Key: When Rasheed Wallace plays well, the Detroit Pistons can win games. Wednesday night the Piston's played the red hot Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves had the lead for almost the entire game, killing the Pistons with a heavy does of Al Jefferson inside. That's until Rasheed Wallace stepped up and started to bring it. Wallace scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was aggressive in the paint and stroked a couple of big threes. That kind of all around offensive threat is too much for teams to contend with. Especially when his threes are falling. The Pistons are 9-5 when Rasheed scores over 15 points this season.

No Wonder Nate Robinson's Jersey is so Popular:Nate Robinson continued to shine off the bench for the Knicks on Wednesday night. Little Nate scored almost a point per minute, securing 25 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in 24 minutes of play. Nate, just do us all a favor and make sure you only attempt dunks in the dunk contest that won't take twenty attempts to complete! Thanks.
