New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Rangersdefenseman Michal Rozsival will miss 7-to-10 days with a lower body injury.
Rozsival suffered the injury Sunday, in the second period of the Rangers' 2-1 loss to Ottawa, and his absence comes at a time when the Rangers are fighting for playoff position. Prior to Monday's slate of games, they are seventh in the Eastern Conference standings with 84 points, only one point behind sixth- place Carolina and two behind fifth-place Pittsburgh.
In 72 games, Rozsival is New York's highest-scoring defenseman this season with 30 points on eight goals and 22 assists.
