Nets suspend Sean Williams

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - The New Jersey Nets have suspended center Sean Williams two games for conduct detrimental to the team.

Williams will miss games Wednesday against New York and Friday against Miami.

Details were not provided by the Nets, but a report in the Newark Star-Ledger earlier this week indicated that Williams was involved in an incident at a cell phone store at a Denver mall, damaging property before police arrived.

The Nets were in Denver to face the Nuggets on Monday and were without Williams for the game. The 17th overall pick of the 2007 NBA Draft has averaged just 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in under 12 minutes per game for New Jersey this season.
