New York, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Knicks signed center Courtney Sims to a 10-day contract on Monday.
Sims has played in just four games since going undrafted out of Michigan. He played in three contests with Indiana last season and was waived by the club on December 19, 2007.
The 6-foot-11, 245-pound center then spent time with Iowa of the NBA Development League before inking two 10-day contracts this year with Phoenix. He played in just one game with the Suns, logging two minutes of action.
The signing for New York comes as Cheikh Samb's 10-day contract expired. He was not re-signed by the Knicks.
