Knicks Fall to Wizards 119-112

John Wall scored 23 points and had 11 assists and Otto Porter added 21 points as the Washington Wizards won for just the third time in 11 games, beating the Knicks 119-112 on Thursday night.

The Wizards, who had lost three straight, took the lead late in the first quarter, led by 10 at halftime and by 27 late in the third quarter

New York trailed 108-86 with 4:33 play before scoring 12 straight points. Wall hit two late baskets and four free throws to secure the win.

New York, which allowed a season high in points, was led by Derrick Rose with 27. Carmelo Anthony scored 19.

Kristaps Porzingis, who scored a career-high 35 points on Wednesday in a win over Detroit, had 16.

Brandon Jennings scored 15 of his season-high 17 points in the fourth quarter for the Knicks.

Wall played 31 minutes in his first back-to-back action of the season, a night after he logged 24 in a loss at Philadelphia.

Wizards coach Scott Brooks had been avoiding Wall in early-season back-to-backs because of the star point guard's offseason knee surgery.

Washington's bench, which center Marcin Gortat labeled "one of the worst in the league right now" after Saturday's loss in Chicago, had a stronger performance.

Marcus Thornton had 13 points, making all three 3-point shots.
