Isles' Hunter leaves game

New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Islanders forward Trent Hunter left Monday's game against the New York Rangers with an upper body injury.

At the 40-second mark of the third period, Hunter was skating along the right boards near center ice when he was met with a clean hit by Rangers forward Ryan Callahan. When Hunter slammed into the glass, the door to one of the penalty benches came loose, causing him to land awkwardly on the ice.

Hunter lay on the ice for several minutes before being helped off the ice by teammates.
