China's Zhou Wins Weightlifting Gold

Americans Sarah Robles and Holley Mangold were seventh and 10th, respectively

China's Zhou Lulu won the gold medal in the women's super heavyweight class in a world record-smashing duel with Russia's Tatiana Kashirina.

The Russian lifter's total world record of 332 kilograms was short-lived, with Zhou beating it by 1 kilogram with her second clean and jerk. Kashirina also set a snatch world record.

Hripsime Khurshudyan Armenia beat defending Olympic champion Jang Mi-ran of South Korea in a battle for bronze.

Americans Sarah Robles and Holley Mangold were seventh and 10th, respectively.

It was only the first Olympic Games for the 22-year-old Mangold. Her brother, New York Jets center Nick Mangold, flew out to watch her compete.
